Whiteline Condominiums

The former Whiteline Laundry building in Champaign has been renovated into 11 modern condominiums. Janet Bubin, along with architect Neil Strack and contractor Marty Wedig, transformed the 1920s-era building while preserving its architectural features. The condos range from 863 to 1,400 square feet and feature exposed brick walls, stained concrete floors, and solar tubes for natural light. Some units have unique elements like rolling firewall doors, exposed steel trusses, and split-level designs. The condos are expected to appeal to professional couples and singles. The renovation faced challenges but resulted in aesthetically pleasing and comfortable living spaces. The first floor is planned to be leased to two restaurants, and there are office spaces available as well. Whiteline Modern Condominiums offer a blend of historic charm and contemporary design in a convenient Champaign location.
